Triumphant - Living In Harmony

Since signing with the acclaimed StowTown Record label under the creative direction of Wayne Haun, one of the genre's already nationally noted groups has taken their craft to a higher level of excellence and quality.

Father/Son duo Scott and Clayton Inman, tenor David Sutton and bass Eric Bennett make up southern gospel's traditional quartet, Triumphant. On April 14th, "Living In Harmony" is set to release to the public. Mid-tempo drivers like "Saved By Grace" have been an alluring factor for the group, and Scotty's title track, "Living In Harmony" continues to ride that stylistic fence of traditional and progressive but maintains the group's signature momentum.

"Amazing God," third on the list of tracks, featuring David Sutton is sure to be a classic due to the timely testimony sighting an ever present, amazing God, accompanied by simple and minimalistic instrumentation.

The irony in the title "Black and White" is found in musical overtones of black gospel's trademark organ mixed with a slight nuance "bluegrassy" banjo. Though the music may be multifaceted, the message of the song is black and white, plain and simple, written in red.

"Living in the Promised Land" is a lighthearted toe-tapper, hand-clapper that lends toward the bluesy and spiritual sort. Though it lacks an obvious gimmick such as a white handkerchief, this may very well be the new crowd pleaser.

Clayton leads "Made With Gold" with his trademark convivial energy making this song another up-tempo hit on this album. This leads us right into a phenomenal life portrait vividly painted by the full, and steady brush of Eric's bass voice.

There could not be a more apropos conclusion to album or concert than the compellingly orchestrated and emotionally delivered message of a pertinent gospel in "Has There Ever Been."

With a taste of everything, including more traditional, even classic songs like "Jesus Must Have Been Here," "When He Reached Down His Hand," and "A Friend Called Grace" this album is a must-buy. Once more, and with the help of amazing musicianship and producers, Triumphant delivers a five-star project that southern gospel lovers would be remiss not to own.
